SoFoBoMo – completed!

Yes, finally my *fuzzy* SoFoBoMo project is complete. This was a world wide *event* where, over a 31 day period, photographers were to take a minimum of 31 photos, edit them and create a .pdf book. 756 photographers signed up to take part in this event, and as I write this post 83 books have been completed and posted. Everyone has until midnight on 30 June to finish.
I thought for a long time for a subject, or theme, to tie these photographs together and in the end decided that I would take all of my photographs with my new Canon 24-70mm lens. I chose to begin my month on 11 May. I took several photos in Illinois and then on our way to my folks I took a couple in Mississippi and finished up in Louisiana. I completed the photographs and editing yesterday and then set about to make my book.
I had decided to use Blurb. I could prepare my book, print a .pdf version and then order a copy of my book. After all of the work I expended in this project I really wanted a finished project to enjoy. And so, after a couple of hours I had a book that I was happy with and had saved a .pdf file of it. Imagine my surprise when I went to upload the .pdf only to discover that the project had a 15mb restriction and my book was over 200mb!
I finally decided to make a *condensed* copy of my book. The .pdf file I’ve put on my own server.
And so I am very happy to announce that my book for 2009 is complete and you can see my book here, and all the other completed books, here.
(I’m so proud of it that I’ve even posted a link in my sidebar to my book on Blurb!)

Congrats. I know it must have been a lot of work. I haven’t done Blurb yet. One of these days I’ve got to get my acct together.
