This week has been a very hard one.  On Tuesday I received word that one of my best friends had died.  She had knee surgery on Monday, it went well and she was released to go home.  Sometime during Monday night or Tuesday morning she died of a pulmonary embolism.

She leaves behind her two sons, a daughter-in law, grandkids, her Mom, and siblings.  She was in her mid 60s, but so young.  One of the truly good people – she didn’t talk bad about people, saw the good in most situations, wasn’t a procrastinator, and lived life fully.  She loved to travel, and I think with the exception of Antarctica I think she walked on all of the continents.  She worked in Europe, Asia as well as here in the US.  She touched the lives of many, many people.

My world is a sadder place without her in it anymore, but I am a million times richer for having known her.
